A few brave souls ventured out on 28th November for a complimentary tyre check by STS Tyre Pro technicians and to listen to Pirelli talking about the tyre technology across their range.
I think everybody learnt something - including :-
- that nitrogen is significantly less commonly used when filling tyres.
- that the critical part of a DOT code is the batch number rather than just the date code (a few weeks apart on the date code is OK - but only if batch number is the same).
- What their looked like from underneath
The opportunity for tyres to be examined, together with expert diagnosis of why tyres were damaged or in need of TLC was well received. No names - but some tyres were overdue replacement!
The coffee kept coming and the cakes were a very nice (but rather sweet) treat, but then it was time to venture out into the rain.
