R12 member Ian Sadler has kindly arranged for a Charity Car Clinic Day at Norwich City College to raise funds for pancreatic cancer. A charity collection box will be available - a £10 donation per car will be payable on arrival.
The day will run from 9am to 6pm and members can come and go as they wish - i.e. morning or afternoon.
Full workshop facilities will be available to carry out some of the following: oil changes; engine; gearbox; brake fluid; plugs; coil packs; brake pads; and discs. There will also be the opportunity for members to just get their car on the ramp for a check or to take the wheels off for a thorough clean (inside as well). Ian will be on hand with two tutors to offer assistance as and when required.
Two members of staff that are volunteering for the day will be able to do four-wheel laser alignment and also air con recharge (there would be a charge for the gas) as well as tyre changes/swaps. There will also be a detailer who is willing to give his time - maybe two or three mini detailing sessions could be arranged, again with a donation. A lounge area will hopefully be available where Porsche-related videos could be shown on the 104” plasma screen.
Not forgetting the ladies, some members of the beauty department have offered to carry out facials, luxury manicures and arm hand massage. These treatments would also require a donation on the day.
Refreshments: Coffee/tea/soft drinks will be available. There is the possibility of the catering department providing a buffet or afternoon tea - cost to be decided nearer the time.
Raffle: It is hoped to have a raffle and any prizes would be most welcome.
Booking: Please contact Ian Sadler on email@example.com for more information and to book for any of the above. Bookings will close on Wednesday 9 October.
Our thanks go to Ian for putting this together. It sounds like a great day and we hope that members will book in to make this a success and raise money for a very worthwhile cause.
