The final pieces are being put into place for our upcoming series of virtual events for Club members. Join us from the comfort of your home, wherever that may, for our next batch of presentations on all things Porsche and Porsche Club.
Starting on Tuesday, 13 October, supported by HFMC Wealth, Club Archivist Peter Cook will be exploring the history of Porsche Club Motorsport. For more than 50 years we have been organising motorsport championships for our members. In this period we have successfully built the foundations of Porsche Club racing and provided an opportunity where Club members can progress from driving their road going Porsche on a track, to competing in the Carrera Cup.
Following the success of their webinars during lockdown, driving consultants Kat Impey and Richard Bott have put together a new series to brighten up your winter evenings. Their upcoming presentations will cover advanced road driving techniques, how to find your pace on a trackday, a second round of the popular “lap of the gods” and “technique talk” from racing drivers. Dates for these evening events are yet to be confirmed.
Club partners Pirelli will be hosting a virtual event on Wednesday, 28 October from 7pm to 8pm. Members can enjoy a virtual tour of the Pirelli Performance Centre depot and a talk from a Pirelli Technical Expert, on the benefits of winter tyres. There will also be a chance for a Q&A at the end of the session for members to ask any questions they may have.
Of course, our second season of sim racing has already begun, with races taking place and streaming live on every other Wednesday. The next rounds will be at a Silverstone on 30 September. You’ll find the full sim racing calendar and the circuits they’ll be visiting here.
Once confirmed, details of when and how to join each of the events listed above will be added to our Events Calendar here. Registration is available, with event reminders and joining details sent out on the afternoon of each event.
