Silverstone Auctions dedicated Porsche Sale just got even better thanks to a menacing looking Porsche Carrera GT finished in Basalt Black with a matching black interior and just 4,300 miles on the clock.
The Carrera GT was an exclusive run of just 1270 cars fitted with a 5.5-litre V10 engine, which was originally designed for the race track, first in Formula One and then Sportscars but due to cancelled projects, it found its way into the Carrera GT.
This particular 2005 car was a German delivered example and then spent the majority of its life in Italy where it was serviced by Pavoda Porsche. It comes with the full carbon pack, £8,000 Porsche luggage set and full-body paint protection.
Harry Whale auction manager for Silverstone Auctions commented: "These are two fabulous cars for our Sale of Ferraris and Porsche. Both of them are special in their own right.”
“The Carrera GT is particularly special with the V10 engine. Who knows if Porsche will ever produce an engine like this again, so this presents a superb opportunity for someone to own one of these exceptional hypercars.”
Silverstone Auctions are accepting cars for their Sale of Porsche auction and can be contacted on 01926 691141 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and the team would be happy to talk with you and help you through the process of consigning your car.
For 2019 the auction will also stage the Club’s Pride of Ownership competition. The Pride of Ownership concept, essentially a more relaxed version of Concours, arose in the mid-1990s and is firmly aimed at members that drive their cars and enjoy keeping them in excellent condition.
The format for the day will see entrants displaying their Porsche in a prominent position at the Polo Club. There will be plenty of preparation time after the journey and a team of knowledgeable specialists will then appraise certain accessible areas of the vehicle and allocate you an overall score.
