Porsche Club GB partners Silverstone Auctions brought along two very special Porsches to our National Event at Althorp House ahead of the upcoming Porsche only sale taking place at Silverstone in October.
While both Porsches; a 1973 911 2.7 RS Touring and a 1992 911 Turbo S Leichtbau are set to feature in the Salon Prive sale, Silverstone Auctions are welcoming similar consignments from Club members.
The 1973 911 2.7 RS Touring, pictured at the top of the page, is finished in the original Porsche colour of Light Yellow, with black leatherette and corduroy interior. This 2.7 RS Touring retains its original engine and gearbox and presents beautifully. Mechanically, although no invoices are on file, it's believed that the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt as the car performs particularly well.
The 1992 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau, pictured below, is one of just 86 produced, of which only a handful are believed to have been destined for the United Kingdom. This right hand drive example, chassis 74, was delivered to its first and current owner and registered during March 1993. Finished in a special order body colour of Electric Blue Metallic with a black leather interior, the car exudes purpose and has an estimate of £390,000 to £420,000.

Through the Club’s partnership, Members can benefit from Silverstone Auctions’ expertise in a number of different ways including: free-of charge consignments (usually £300) of cars to Silverstone Auctions sales; advice and guidance to Club Members on the practice of consigning their Porsche for sale or undertaking a purchase at an auction, highly discounted catalogue prices and privileged membership of affiliation and loyalty schemes.
The Porsche-only sale take place inside the Silverstone Wing over the weekend of Saturday, 24th and Sunday, 25th October. The sale, which is being staged in conjunction with the Club’s Silverstone Grand Prix circuit trackday, is expected to attract some of the finest Porsches in the country.
