warranty or not to warranty that is the question.

might have been disused before but:

pros and cons of the extended warranty. personal choice I suppose. keep the money in the bank for whenever, or spend it on another insurance policy.

my particular car will be 5 years old. coming to the end of an extended 2 year warranty.
how many warranty issues happen, car obviously serviced at correct intervals.

Interesting - looking at quotes for my extension ater 3 Years private warranties no much cheaper so guess go for OPC or save £1600+ cost (2 Years) and hope?

Pondering.

As you say, personal choice, but one thing I would ask you, is your plans on ownership moving forward. If looking to replace within that 2 year period, you will attract more buyers privately, with the warranty than without. For me, two identical cars, one with the warranty but maybe slightly more, would be my choice over the non-warranty twin, even if the spec may be less too. (as long as the price wasn't over what I could buy a warranty for) It's the age old risk vs reward scenario. If you have factored the cost in, I would always warranty, but that's me
