Hi
Just a quick question, I have 2 keys for my 997.1 and when in the ignition you know which key it is by it displaying on the dash "key 1” or "key 2”. In my case I use "key 2" as this is the newer style key. My question is can I rename this to become "key 1”. Im quite new on here so don’t know if I’ve posted this in the right area.

Any my help would be most appreciated

Cheers steve

Hi Steve and welcome. Yes, you have posted in the right place but I haven't come across anyone who has swapped the keys over - yet! I suspect a Porsche Centre may be able to do this? Which aircraft do you work on, btw?

Thanks,
Just a query only had the car a day and just getting to grips with it, it’s not a big deal about the key, probably just a slight ocd thing. I work on typhoons.

Cheers

Steve

Oddly enough I use key 2 but only because that was the one I used to program the memory seats and 8 years ago and can't be bothered to do it for the other one! As PCs can program keys I would imagine they could reset yours. If your OCD takes over might be worth a call or to an independent who has the equipment.
Typhoons eh? Nothing complicated then!:ROFLMAO:
