Faulty Electric Sunroof

[FONT=calibri"]My sunroof started to act up and does not work properly, so I got a new switch from my local OPC and I have replaced the sun roof switch inside the car and it still appears to be faulty. The one touch facility on tilt or slide no longer works, you have to hold the button down. You also now have to fully tilt, then close and then slide open the roof, you can no longer go straight to sliding the roof open? Does this sound like a hardware issue?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

That's great news - just show the power of the forum again.

Richard has been a guru on this site as long as I can remember, helping us all out with his knowledge.

Update! Firstly, I agree, a big thank you to Richard H for his comments and advice on here. My sunroof worked fine after I reset it, then the following day I came to it and it was the same again! I thought I had done something wrong so I followed the instruction and did it again, it then also worked fine. I have come back to it today and it is not working again! It seems like every time I restart the car it loses the settings?

Hi, experiencing the exact problem, did you ever get a solution, tried the resetting but as soon as you switch the car off you lose the settings, I am thinking it's a motor replacement. Anyone with advice?

Hi all, I have a 996 and everytime i try to close the sunroof it drags the seal out? Ive had a new seal fitted but its the same any ideas?

Hi all I’m new here I just bought a 2011 cayenne 3L diesel and the pano rood does not work at all. Not even the blind or makes any noise.... went to few local garages and they are all saying diferent things. Finally one guy diagnosed and tried to open it with the diagnostic machine but still nothing and came up with a fault code c13214 communication with slide/tilt roof rear. Even tho he still is not sure as he saying it’s could be one of the motor or the module.

anyone have any idea or had similar problems

thanks
