Morning all,

I was hoping to call on your experience with regards to finding someone to upgrade or help with maybe undertaking an upgrade myself with altering the originality of my 1989 911‘s stero and speaker system. As it stands everything is original, and whilst a huge part of me wants to keep it, the speakers are shot. Has anyone had their speakers updated without compromising interior? Are there any recommendations for local car audio providers? Links to websites offering speakers that are direct replacements for the originals? Many thanks in advance.

Hi I would recommend Bergvill F/X Electronics. They refurbish Becker equipment and sell a new Continental unit which looks good in Porsche’s . Really nice guy called I think Torre who runs it. I got a Becker from him plus linked iPod for a very good price. Works perfectly and looks perfect in my 993

Hi, I've upgraded my front dash speakers to Alpine SPG-10C2 (think that's the right model number, available on eBay) which sound really good, a bit fiddly to make then fit the housing but easy to do. I've also just added a bluetooth handsfree kit that replaces the multi CD changer, mine has PCM 2.0 with MOST optical input. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-USB-Adapter-Porsche-911-Boxster-Cayman-Cayenne-PCM-2-0-2-1-Car-Kit/222630117615?hash=item33d5ca00ef:g:3kAAAOSwg8taEmuL
It works really well and I can keep the original stereo. All relatively cheap and keeps everything looking original.
