Unfortunately Sean has to be overseas on business and will now not be able to attend. He is planning to send me the images so we can see all the entries on the night. [FONT=verdana,geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]The route goes through Bowland Bridge and will lead to the Windermere Car Ferry,[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]which takes only 10 minutes to cross the lake. The cost of the ferry is £4.40 per car[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]and passenger’s. You will need the correct change or card for the ticket machine.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]From there our route will take us around the top of Esthwaite Water and back down[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]through Grizdale Forrest. Then north alongside Coniston Water. Hopefully if the[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]weather is good there will be some stunning views to complement the great roads.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]We will then have an "Early Evening Dinner” at the Carus Green Golf Club. Aiming to[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]arrive at 4.00 p.m. to sit down at 4:30. Carus will arrange dedicated parking for us.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]Then it’s a gentle run up/down the M6 and home.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]10.00am - 10.45am : Meet at Sally’s Warwick Bridge (CA4 8RN) in the morning for a coffee and cake or bacon roll before we head off on our day out.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]10.45am : Leave Sally’s and head on the A69 taking the Military Road at Greenhead (B630/B6318) until we get to the Wark turn off (Staggered Crossroads) and head to the B6320 and follow this road to the Pheasant Inn for Sunday lunch. [FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]12.30pm : Sunday lunch at The Pheasant Inn, Shilling Pot, Stannersburn, Hexham NE48 1DD [FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]The good news is the food looks superb and the Sunday roast is less than £12 and the portions are very good. There is also a Specials board for those who don’t want the roast and plenty of choice on the normal menu. Children are also catered for.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]They don’t need food pre ordered and will reserve our tables and take orders as the cars arrive.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]Distance from Sally’s to The Pheasant Inn is 46 miles and takes about 1hr 15 mins - 1hr 30 mins depending on conditions and driving speed, but the roads should be fairly quiet on a Sunday morning.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]2.00pm : Head to the Kielder Visitor Centre which is only 2 miles away (NE48 1BX) for a leg stretch and photo opportunity.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
[FONT=calibri"]3.00pm : Continue past Kielder Reservoir towards the B6357/B6318, via Newcastleton, Kershopefoot and Penton to Longtown and join the A7 and head back to Carlisle [FONT=verdana,geneva"]

[FONT=calibri"]Distance back to the M6 is 44 miles and will take about 1hr 20 mins - 1hr 40 mins.[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
