good evening

my first attempt on this forum having recently joined, I have a 2004 Cayenne 4.5ltr V8 and the CD player is driving me to distraction, it will accept some CD's [new] and others it won't - any thoughts- thanks Chris

also the heating fan is on the blink so am looking for a non-dealer specialist in the Durham area please -thanks

could it be the CD 's are damaged ?
Are some thicker ?
Cant think of anything that would cause the rejection.
My old K N is a year older than yours but seems to play
anything ?
Could it be a button sticking ? like the eject .

Re your heater fan you can try a general dealership on the local sites .
It could be something simple like a loose wire .
I find the guys on the local trading estates bery useful
I just had a wiper motor put on my Mini at a fraction of main dealer costs.
A heater motor should not be a problem to them.

I have a 2006, and my CD player is exhibiting similar issues.
It seems to depend on the age of the CD - older ones seems OK, maybe the specification has changed? Also any CD-R have more issues than originals. They seem to be OK for the first couple of tracks then won't play
I have bought a second PCM unit and plan to swap out the CD player (lots of you tube vids on how), and will let you know how I get on - but it will be a while before I get the time
