Hi, am i right in thinking that a standard (2007) 2.7 987 Boxster doesn't have a limited slip diff? any way of checking for sure?

I may be wrong, but I don't think mechanical LSD's have ever been an option on Boxster's, only electronic traction control, which is something entirely different

    Ken,

As far as I'm aware the LSD wasn't available until the 987 Gen2 (2009?). Even then I don't think that it was available on the base (or even the S?) Boxster, although I was able to spec it for my 987.2 Cayman S.

My 2010 987.2 Cayman S had the optional LSD. Apparently very few 987.2 Caymans, apart from the Cayman R, had an LSD fitted.

Good idea to change the transaxle oil. I had this done on my CR at 20K miles.
