Dent Removal - Dent-Tek

Hi Guys/Girls,

Just thought I would share this with you all. Picked up Wendy's Twingo Cup the other week and noticed that there was a very small dent in the passenger door (stone dent). Wouldn't bother most people but bothered us so it needed to be sorted. After much searching on the net and Facebook the name Dent-Tek kept getting mentioned as the guru of dent removal in the north east. So I contacted Mark and sent him a few photos. Within five minutes he said no problem and gave me a price. So last Saturday morning I took the car to him and within half an hour the dent was gone. The man is a magician and I was one happy customer. Mark is also a very nice guy and is passionate about cars.

His clients speak for themselves, Aston Martin, Porsche and Ferrari and he has been dong it for years. Some of the stuff on his website and Facebook page is amazing.

So if you have a dent that needs removing give Mark a call.

Mark Rennie is a great tech. One of the `trusted` techs that we have on a UK based Facebook page.

If anyone need the services of a dent tech I can normally recommend a good one from our database.

A lot of these techs are IMI certificated so there should be no crossing of fingers needed when they are working on your p&j.

Be aware, there are some monkeys out there ... don`t leave it to guess work or even worse let your `mate` have a go.

Yes I can vouch for the quality of Mark‘s work. My wife’s old XC60 suffered a strange “dent“ on the drivers side door when parked up on a windy night (looks like it may have been a shopping trolley) but the dent was actually proud of the panel. Anyway to cut a long story short, Mark worked his magic & all sorted. Couldn’t see where the damage was previously.

My wife’s Octavia now has a minor dent on the drivers door (again on a windy day but at Costco where the spaces are actually wider which is really annoying - some idiot must’nt have realised it was so windy and their door must have hit ours) - so another call to Mark will be required after Xmas.

It gives you peace of mind to know if you get a dent to your pride and joy that there is a skilled person out there that can put it right. :)

Good shout Mark. I have a couple of small stone dents on my car so I'll look into that.

While you are in a recommending mood, I'll have a quick hijack if you don't mind. Lightly scrapped the rear bumper on the 911 backing into the garage *facepalm* You know anywhere good but not concours quality locals to us paint shop that could sort it? David.

Hi Dave,

The only person I would let touch my car is Heaton Park Coach Works but they are in Heaton north Tyneside . True artist, not the cheapest (far far far cheaper than Lloyds) but IMHO one of the best. Chris Tweedy (Cayman R) can vouch for him as well. Not exactly local but I wouldn't take any of my cars anywhere else.

Don't know any good ones in the Seaham, Sunderland, Seaburn or the Whitburn area.

Cheers

Well after my previous post, I managed to close our automatic garage door on my wife’s Octavia [:(], end result was it automatically tried to go back up but proceeded to rip out the roof aerial (that controls the sat nav) like a can opener but also dented the roof. Texted Mark on Saturday night, he rang Monday morning, came just before lunch & fixed it after a couple of hours. Said he’d never come across that before so it was a new challenge [:)]Anyway, can’t see where the damage was & sat nav now working. Top man - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Oh the garage door needed a call out as well as I’d managed to knock that out of alignment so an expensive trip out on Friday - we’ll we never got as we couldn’t close the garage door.

luckily the Boxster was unharmed [:D]
