Knock sensor 2 wiring

Hello,
I am after some advice/help please, the wiring to my knock sensor has broken at the connector end. My mechnic has asked whether I can source a new connector and some tails so he can mend it.

Porsche want to sell me an entire loom!

There are some similar looking connectors on eBay as the sensor is OEM for quite a few different manufacturers.

Knock sensor wiring issues seem quite common has anyone any experience of the right connector for the Bosch sensor, or a 3rd party repair kit?

My car is an 02 C4S if it helps?

cheers,

Tom

Hi
If its any help to you I have an 03 Boxster I am currently disassembling for parts. This may well have the necessary connector you need. If you are able to get me a picture of your one then I can match it up to ensure its OK.
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the reply that's just the kind of thing I need. The part does list as the same for the Boxster. I don't have a picture of mine with me. I'm currently sweating by the pool in Spain and the car is with the garage in Tewkesbury !

Although it's the the same as the sensor in this link

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=porsche+996+knock+sensor&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiI2OOw5brVAhUCJFAKHfRRDMsQ_AUIESgC&biw=414&bih=628#imgrc=8pA-zyGcaSuF6M:

i would just just need the connector and as much tail as I could get so they can re-connect the existing wiring.

Let me know,

cheers

Tom
