David Joyce and the team at Wolverhampton OPC are looking forward to R9's visit. They are offering the opportunity for members to have their cars inspected in the workshop - up on the ramps etc.. This needs to be booked in advance with them through myself. There will be roughly 1 hour slots available for 3 hours, from 8.30 - 11.30. David reckons they could get up to 25 cars inspected in the workshop in that time. There will be some offers on costing of any work authorised and booked on the day of the visit too. There are already 3 slots taken up (a 2006 987 Boxster, a 2015 981 Cayman GT4 and a 1996 993 Targa) so if you want one of these prestigious slots (you will be allocated a time slot at some point before) then please email me the following information:[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]YOUR NAME / PORSCHE MODEL AND YEAR / HOW MANY IN CAR[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]If you are interested in coming to the OPC but you do not require the workshop facilities then you will have the opportunity to see the delights they have to offer in the showroom and shop and gaze at what could be your next model... nevertheless I will still need to know that you want to attend as there will be bacon sandwiches/rolls and drinks available so please EMAIL ME YOUR NAME AND HOW MANY PEOPLE TOTAL YOU ARE BRINGING Please arrive from 10am onwards - you can stay as long as you like! There will also be a prize draw - the OPC are putting forward the prizes.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST - SUMMER DRIVE - CANNOCK CHASE AREA OF NATURAL BEAUTY
This is still work in progress, but we shall meet at HILTON PARK SERVICES NORTHBOUND at 10am to leave by 10.30, and will take in the breath-taking countryside scenery of what is 25 square miles of woodland that is Cannock Chase. Hopeful stop offs include Marquis Drive, Birches Valley Forest Centre, The Horns at Slitting Mill (or similar for lunch, to be decided) Milford Common and Shugborough Hall and maybe others.
*IMPORTANT!* There are limited car spaces for this event as we can only have a total of 15 cars in the convoy so the places will be first come first served. 5 cars are already booked to go so there are 10 places up for grabs. Hi baz

Just wanted to say thanks for organising the visit to Wolverhampton OPC and also the run around Cannock Chase on Sunday.

Everyone at the OPC were very friendly and welcoming and the bacon buttys were great. we also enjoyed the leisurely drive round the beautiful countryside of the chase.

Cheers

Phil & Lesley

Hello. Just wondering if anyone has posted up pics from the drive on sunday and where are they posted?

Ryan

Hi Ryan and everyone else.. good point to make sir - hadn't got round to it!

Here are the Facebook links to the pics taken at the weekend of events:

Porsche Centre OPC Wolverhampton - https://www.facebook.com/baz.barnett/posts/10209533146581186?pnref=story
Cannock Chase AONB - https://www.facebook.com/baz.barnett/posts/10209540117835463?pnref=story

I could put some up on here but they are high quality pics and there would be a lot of faffing about with the pics so that they're a suitable size in order to upload them.

Enjoy the photos!

Baz
