the car seem to perform ok engine does not over heat it will not reset when you turn ignition on and off I have check water level that's ok can any one point in the right direction [strike]. [/strike]

Adrian,

Does the light start flashing immediately when you start the car from cold or is it only when the engine is at normal running temperature (around 80 deg C)?

Are you getting any error codes from the diagnostics?

Jeff

If your coolant level's OK then perhaps the temperature sensor is faulty.

You could always try bleeding the system to see if that cures the problem.

Jeff

Just a further point Adrian: you may need to use a Porsche-specific diagnostic tool (Durametric or PIWIS) rather than a general purpose code reader to diagnose fully the problem.

Jeff

Temp sensor 27.00 plus. Where a outs are you I'm in Surrey/kent border if your near your quite welcome to put my Porsche tester on the car.
