Several members have contacted me recently about opportunities to explore the performance capabilities of their cars or improve driving skills under controlled conditions. New Porsche owners might be glad to find out more about the capabilities of their cars, whilst seasoned campaigners might relish a chance to brush up on their driving technique.

With this mind, I am currently in touch with Porsche Driving Experience Centre at Silverstone with a view to arranging a group booking for us, allowing members to attend with their own Porsche and experience a session with expert tuition at a concessionary rate.

The project is now live and is definitely taking place. You can get full details of this opportunity by scrolling down to post No 10 below. Along with 997 Register members, we also have 991 owners joining us and there's no reason why other Porsche driving members can't be included too.

For the booking arrangements, please email me at 997@porscheclubgb.com

Regards,

Clive.

The second session is filling up nicely with just a few places remaining. If you were thinking about this one, it would be advisable to book sooner rather than leaving it, to avoid disappointment. []

Currently there are still plenty of places for the first session. [:)]

Regards,

Clive.

This is a great idea and I'm booked up for the first session.

As someone who thoroughly enjoys the 997 Register driving events (Autumn tour, Spring tour, etc.) but has had no formal driver training (beyond passing my test!) I think this is a great way to explore and learn more about the true characteristics of our cars.

I look forward to catching up with fellow enthusiasts on May 6th.

Great idea.

I'd been toying with the idea of this myself, so definitely interested, I'd like to join the afternoon session preferably.

Just as a side, relatively new member, C4s, my first Porsche. Be nice to meet a few members

C4S is lovely and my current 997 drive. I love the stability and traction for year round use. I previously has a CS and, honestly, can't feel any steering corruption from the 4WD

My advice - to echo Clive's post above - is if you are interested get booking up asap. I booked yesterday and of the 2 sessions the 11am - 12:30 was booked up but there were still spaces on the 9:30 - 11am session (which is the one I am doing).

Hope to see you there...

Hi Clive all booked in for the first session??
ive also booked for the lunch so don't know how many of you guys are staying for it.
See you all there
David.

Will be good to meet you Richard! Get it booked directly if you have not already done so.

We're approaching a full house for this event now, so if you've not already booked, you are advised to do so very soon "to avoid disappointment" as they say in all the best supermarkets! [:D]
Regards,
Clive
