To PASM or not to PASM?

I know lots of you will think I'm clinically insane, but I've traded my second Cayman S and ordered a third because I was never able to fully resolve the heavy steering problems that I'd been having with the car. Finally it went to Porsche at Reading, who, unsurprisingly, said it was, 'within the parameters expected from this model of Porsche'. For fear of getting us closed down, surfice it to say that I didn't agree and have traded the car and ordered a new one.

The big question is this: Should I order PASM this time or not? I'm sure PASM caused problems with the first Cayman, which rode as if it was in sport mode the entire time, and I'm not sure that it wasn't behind the steering issues with the second car. So what should I do this time?

I'm tempted not to spec PASM on the car third time round, but I've been warned that the standard car's ride is very hard and that I'll regret it. So, are there any owners out there who bought a Cayman S without the PASM and has since regretted it? Or, has anyone bought a Cayman WITH PASM and regretted it?

I've been told that the PASM works best with the optional 19s, but I think I'll stick with the standard 18s as there's a limit to how much budget I can sneak past my wife!

Any thoughts gratefully received, (as long as they don't involve sending me to The Priory).

Cheers,
Richard.
