It is with immense sadness that we have to inform you that Carol Jessop has died of a sudden brain haemorrhage on Thursday 24th August. She was fit and healthy, and only 55.

Everyone who knew Carol will have found her to be delightful; she was kind, caring, clever, thoughtful, capable, funny, completely unselfish and she was very dearly loved.

A great many people in the region will have known Carol, her husband Mark and son Dan. Carol and Mark were Regional Organisers for R7 for 10 years, doing a brilliant job to run and build our Region to where it is now, and then they created the CoG to carry on what they had built.

A true Porsche enthusiast, she greatly enjoyed driving their 944, 911 and Boxster, and even dreamed of owning a 356. She took part in or organised a whole variety of Porsche Club events.

Her family and friends are devastated beyond words, but feel immensely proud and lucky to have known her and we will always remember her and hold her in our hearts. She will be sadly missed.

Funeral arrangements will be shared in due course.

(This is written on behalf of Mark and Dan, our thoughts are with them)

The photo shows Carol at the last R7 event she attended, the Notawoty just three weeks ago.

Very sad news. Viv and I first met Carol and Mark at one of those pre-AGM RO’s training sessions when we were in R12. What a lovely lady with such a friendly and welcoming personality. She will be tremendously missed by so many people. Our condolences to her family.
