Tail light lens clusters?

Hello people,
Porsche list two sets of rear light lenses for cars with and without rear fog lights.
"477 945 206" and "477 945 206" for cars without and "477 945 215" and "477 945 216" for those with.
I didn't realise there were cars without rear fog lights.

Does anyone know the physical difference between the lens clusters?

partworks.de item 8970 says that they are for all 924 and 944 cars but they quote the part numbers for cars without fog lights.
I did ask them the specific question but they just replied that they are suitable for all cars.

rosepassion.com list both types (a lot more expensive) but looking at the images I can't see any difference.

Has anyone used the units from partworks?
Were they ok?
Does anyone know the difference as I have had no luck trying to find out.

Hi Can't answer your lens question.

PartWorks Germany I've used for mechancial parts with no problems and the communications and most helpful all in English and answered perfectly fine. The only thing to be aware of is parts sent will be charged UK Customs import tax + if paid through Post Office Parcel service they add a fee too, I'm not sure what the actual amount is though before this is triggered but at least you know these basics.

If you buy via ebay then they usually collect the VAT, partworks list most of their parts on ebay. I've bought from Germany before on ebay and never had a problem with customs or VAT as it is all done for you.

Hi Marty, I think it was the US cars that came without fog lights - but Only 944 sell a kit to put an extra "tail light” bulb in there. That kit only requires a slight modification to the metal board to add the extra lamp rather than any difference in the lens itself so my gut feeling is that the Partworks parts will be fine.

Thanks for the replies.
It seems that no one knows what the difference is.[:(]
I think I'll order the Partworks ones and see what comes.
