Hello,

I’m interested in entering the club championship in either a Cayman or 997. I’m looking for a used race car for sale, and will need support and prep for the races. I live in Colchester. Does anyone know of any local race teams that has experience in the championship?

Thanks

I have heard good things about Pie Performance https://www.pieperformance.co.uk/ in respect of preparation but I don't know if they do circuit support.

If you want the full transporter package bizarrely a more expensive series may prove cheaper in the long run by having greater potential for sponsorship.

John as references to the Owner of Pie Performance business it's Chris Lansbury who run a Boxster in a certain championship but sadly his team don't race in any series at the moment but would have the knowledge of other teams or racing teams racing out of Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk & by calling him personal would happily share any local contacts that's operating out of Colchester.

The picture I've enclosed is of Chris's old Porsche Boxster & which I know he has Sold on now.

I would really recommend you contact John at CTR Racing ctr-ltd.com, they are based in north Essex near Colchester. They carry out race prep work, race support for Porsche Club Motorsport Championship and Le Mans classic.
They have just finished carrying out major works on my Porsche 996 Gt3 which is now ready to collect.
John is normally at the Essex club meeting in Chelmsford on the second Wednesday each month.
I hope this is some help.
James
