Hello boys and girls,

I have organised a visit to Chartwells body shop in Derby on Saturday the 20th of May. If you look on page 100 of this months Porsche Post Chartwells advert can be seen.

Chartwells is a top class body repair shop that uses the latest technology and materials to repair prestige cars back to factory approved standards after an accident.

Having visited a few years ago I can say that this will be a very enjoyable experience.

After arriving at about 9.30 breakfast will be provided by Chartwells followed by a tour of the facility. A Ferrari simulator will also be available which I have been told is something rather special. Travel details to be confirmed nearer the date but I propose meeting at Woolley Edge services on the M1 for the run down leaving there at 8.00am prompt.

We can call in to meet any other members wishing to meet at a different services on the M1. Walkie Talkies would be useful to make the pick ups a quick flying visit.

The visit will end at about lunchtime after which we can make our way home via motorway or a more ‘dynamic ‘ route should anybody be interested.

Please sign up below if you wish to attend. Please state your preference of motorway services for meet up and let me know if you prefer to go home via motorway or another more interesting route.

Final details will be posted on the forum shortly before the event.

I look forward to seeing everybody again for what promises to be an interesting morning out.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes please, will be on my own.

Woolley Edge is fine for us, and happy for scenic route home. Just give us a heads up on Channel no.

Might bring my own simulator :ROFLMAO:

Hi Chris,

I would like to attend this. 1 place please.

Happy to meet at Woolley Edge do scenic route home

Sounds good fun and Jane and I would like to join although I will still be tucked in bed at 8.00am.

What time will the tour start at Chartwells so we can be there for the start of it?

Aiming to be at Chartwells at about 9.15/9.30 for breakfast before the workshop tour. Tour perhaps at 10.00 then or you could catch us up if you are late.

If you set off late you can really give the Boxster a good caning to get there on time.👍🏻👍🏻😀😀

Chris

Chris, any spaces left? I’d love to join you. Ironically I’m walking distance from their unit, but have never had the full tour. Thanks Nigel.

No problem Nigel, just come along. Plenty of people can sign up yet as tour is available for up to 60 people.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris

Count me in please

I think I can mange to find Woolley Edge Services without Satnav :ROFLMAO: providing I leave home by 7.55

Thanks

Peter

Chris.

Please add me to the list for this one - I can meet you at Woolley Edge.

I am well up for a run around on the way back home - I was going to do that anyway regardless of what anyone else intends doing - nothing too planned just a make it up as I go taking in some of my favourite roads.

Thanks & regards.

Zeusy.

Ayup Martin,

We are hopefully planning a run home with a stop for a pub lunch on the way home.

Nice to have you on board.👍🏻

Chris

Eyup thi sen owd lad.

Narthen sithy.

Not being a drinking man myself and depending upon what time we leave Chartwell's I was going to head on up to the Cottage Kitchen Country Cafe at Winkhill (no booking required but a large group of us may need to) have my fill there and then take the scenic route home. The cafe closes at 4:30 and its approx 25 miles via the Leek road from Derby so I would want to be away from Chartwells by 2:30.

Lucky boy that I am I have a radio too.

Regards.

Zeusy.
