C4/C4s vs GTS

Hi,

Looking for some views on choosing between a new 992 C4/C4s vs GTS. This car will be daily drive and as such a certain degree of comfort is important. We test drive a Carrera 4 GTS and loved the car but we though the suspension to be a bit hard/uncomfortable for a daily driver and quite a bit noisy.

we have not yet driven a C4/C4s but looking for views on the differences to the GTS as the GTS has the Sport PASM suspension lowered by 10mm and less noise insulation.

Have you tried both cars? is the difference in suspension noise insulation noticeable?

Thanks for the view!

Hi, yes we’ve been fortunate enough to drive the base and GTS. I think a lot depends on driving style. Talk to your dealer, I may have this wrong but with the GTS there are five setting’s in normal, and five more in sport. The car then changes setting depending on your speed, steering angle, and other parameter. So even in normal mode, but with a "spirited” driving style on a twisty B road the car will be quite rigid.
The C4 was nice it was quieter, but we didn’t push on when driving it. (First 911 we’d driven).
Not driven the C4s.
When we were at Silverstone the instructor explained that the GTS could be softer if set right.
Hopefully others will add to this thread with more info/experiences, - and correct anything I’ve got wrong.

At a risk of starting a little flame war, you might wish to watch this recent video by Nick Murray

I have a heavily specced 992 C4S and would not want a GTS (Center lock wheels and lower suspension and alcantara interior and black accents are the bits I would not want).

That said I am sure that GTS models have higher residuals (not mentioned in the video) … so one to consider carefully.
