Early 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet

Guest of the Club
I own a 1983 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet RHD (date of registration 18.10.1983 Chassis, No.WP0ZZZ91ZES150292, Engine No. 63E00828). All the information I can find states the model did not commence until 1984. Can anyone please shed any light on this? I am led to believe that the car was one of the earliest 3.2 cabriolets to be exported to the UK and may even have been the Earls Court show car but I have nothing to substantiate these facts. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

i can’t comment on it being a press/show car but the model year is "normal” for that era - the model year changeover happened after the summer production shutdown so 1984 model year cars were built from early Sept 1983 onwards.
