[FONT=verdana,geneva"]NORTHUMBRIA MIDWEEK BREAK 2023 UPDATE.[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]Room bookings are due to close on Thursday 16th March.[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"]Due to the popularity of the WOTY and MOTY's that have been run recently we have decided to do a trial run of a mid-week two-day event at DOXFORD HALL in Northumberland.
The Hotel is larger than we have used recently and is also a SPA facility. The hotel have now offered us a dedicated exclusive dining room.
We have reserved 20 rooms on the 9th and 10th of May 2023 and the room charge will be £225 per night, and £185 single occupancy, Dinner bed and breakfast, for which there is a £50:00 non-refundable booking fee.
The rooms will be allocated on a first come basis.
We have advised the hotel staff that members will book directly with them by telephone mentioning that the booking is the R7 MAY EVENT.

We will suggest a scenic route for the Wednesday for anyone wishing to undertake the drive, or members can visit a number of local venues such as Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick, Kielder or Cragside.

We are booked in for this trip as our planned overseas trip has become too complicated, we will arrive a couple of days earlier to explore Northumberland, postponed after missing the WOTY/MOTY due to Covid.

We have also extended our trip to take in most of the NC500 on leaving Doxford Hall.

We are looking forward to our visit to Northumberland after having to drop out of last year's WOTY/MOTY due to the Covid bug.

Having a few extra days to try and explore all the lovely venues we had planned to visit including two of the Hairy Bikers sea food restaurants tips for the area.
