Specialist in NI

Hi all,
i've just bought my first Porsche (996.2 Carrera) and have a couple of questions.
The car had quite a major service June last year (2021) and reading around people seem to get oil change etc done every year as a matter of course. I spoke to Porsche Centre Belfast but they advised i wait 'til next year. Whats the concensus?

Also, who do people use for work, servicing etc in NI? I'm based in Lisburn and thought about getting a specialist to give the car a good once over.

Thanks alot,
Martin

Hello Martin,

Health to drive!

Every 24 months or 20,000 is in line with what a Porsche centre would tell you, but most folk (myself included) would go with every 12 months - the extra expense giving the benefit of an oil change after the winter months when a car may not have had much use.

As for who to carry out work, I've found Porsche Belfast to be excellent, however AMG Cars in Ballyclare and George McMillan Specialist Cars in Antrim would class themselves as Porsche focused.

Region 27 is having a drive in the next few weeks, if you're able to come along, I and others would be happy to chat about the above topics as well as anything else.

Hope that helps.

Gary.

Gary,
cheers for that.
I've got the car booked in with McMillans later this month to due fluids and to give it the once over. decided i'd rather go with every 12 months as you say, to be on the safe side.
All being well, i'm hoping to be out on the drive later this month too.
Cheers
Martin
