Servicing Scotland South East.

I'm in Edinburgh and wanted to know where Scotland South PCGB members get their cars serviced. I've had my 996 C4S just over 8 years, initially taking the car to the main Porsche dealer for 3 years or so and for the last 5 i've been using an independent, David Phillips.
Can anyone share their experience or thoughts on who they use for servicing?
Also, considering a Gundo Hack- worth it?

Thank you,

I’ve been using Brian Miller on Lanark Road for 10 years but just looked at Google and it’s saying temporarily closed, hoping that’s wrong as I’m due to visit soon.

Hi Tim
I appreciate your post and had a go at this myself recently
I am based in East Ayrshire and have been using the Sytner owned Porsche Centre in Glasgow where since 2019 have spent over £10k on a range of repairs/servicing, but not short of troubling concerns about their performance hence why I have been looking else where
Clearly more choices in England but in the meantime I have used SP Autobahn in Stirling but Stuart works this on his own and can be difficult to get hold of
I’ll keep an eye open for more from you on this as I would certainly be interested
Im planning a suspension change out next year among other things as part of my Boxster 987 Sport Edition restoration process
The thing is, I was prepared to pay Sytner group prices if I received a good service but it’s beyond the joke, their service advisors cant even answer simple questions about a major service without my query being sent to the workshop manager where it just gets lost and I never hear from them again!, so fed up with them after continual disappointment!
Best of luck!

You could always try Mototune in Shotts. I've been going there for over 20 years and they've been great!
