Porsche Cayenne ehybrid 2016 50k miles Front Diff Failure

Hi,

I have a 2016 Porsche cayenne s ehybrid plug in with 49k miles, not had a single problem wrong with the car, drives spot on apart from recently with this noise. Never towed or overweighted the car.

i experienced a whirling whooshing rotating kind of noise when i accelerate and decelerate, when i put the car in neutral the sound goes away. i had a feeling it may be a diff issue. After taking the car to a indy specialist they have diagnosed it with a front differential failure. Technician recons its the bearing inside the diff that has worn and not the diff teeth itself.

Has anyone else experienced this with their Porsche Cayenne, Maccan or Panamera?

Surely the front diff should not go this early in the cars lifespan with below average miles on the car.

Has anyone had luck with this being covered by Porsche or something similar being covered by them as a good will gesture?

Thanks
Billy

Sorry to hear about that, our old 2016 Macan had the transfer box fail last year and Porsche covered it even though the car itself was out of warranty. I presume the front diff is something different ?

Hi, yes its a different part, but to hear porsche covered that for you gives me hope,

will update when i have any answers

thank you
