Waiting lists

What is the general waiting time from deposit to receiving your new Taycan?
The reason I am asking this is there seem to be posts on the internet that some OPC’S are getting cars more quickly than others!
I have had a Taycan x turismo on order for over 8 months and I still don’t have a build slot!!! I am starting to not believe in the salesperson!

I paid a £5k deposit on a T4SCT in mid-October 2021.
In January 2022 I switched the order from CT to ST when GTS ST announced and 4SST became available on the configurator.
Recently told that my car will finish production on 20th May for delivery early June.

7.5 months from deposit. Think I got lucky when ST announced and did the switch, the PC had ST slots available.

I'm sure that it will be worth the wait!

David

I put a deposit on a GTS end of February 2022. Spoke with dealer yesterday and was told my build slot likely to be early November, then a 4-6 timeframe for delivery.

Hi,
thanks for your replies.
David, did your car arrive and if so has it been as joyful as you expected?
Andrew I hope your car comes as soon as possibl!
I have now been given an approximate date of the end of July, I can only hope!!!

Thanks. I'll keep you posted. Will put pictures on once I have it. I've gone for the Frozen Berry paint. It's raised a lot of eyebrows. Very mixed reactions when I tell people. I think with the GTS black accents, black wheels and black calipers it should 'pop'. Will certainly be a talking point. Good luck with yours!! Pictures when you get it...

Colour is a very subjective thing! I must say you are brave to choose frozen berry but I cannot wait to see it With the accents!
I am talking to my pc on Monday and I hope to have good news about my build slot or mine will not arrive until August at the earliest.

I was told that it would arrive at my dealer (PC Nottingham) yesterday (13th June).
I now have to wait until the 23rd June to pick it up because my salesman has decided to go on holiday and wants to do the handover himself!

He's a nice chap but waiting is difficult! [:(]

So happy you have got your car!
I have now been told mine will arrive Aug 10 almost 1 year from my order, still not convinced.
im now getting a little desperate!!!

Such a long wait.

Spoke with Porsche yesterday, handed over final spec, paid an extra deposit and was told build slot November, with delivery expected in Dec. If this happens will be 9-months total. Fingers crossed for a nice Christmas gift!

I'm told its minimum 18 months at the moment for me to wait for an upgrade for my Taycan (any model), still mulling it over! I'm led to believe anything less than 18 months tends to be cancelled orders for each individual OPC.

Andrew, I would have been very happy with 9 months, however, I didn’t know you could up the deposit to help the situation!
Drew, I too have been informed that a new order would be at least 18 months and have been advised by my local OPC that if I intend changing my car in 2 years I should put down a deposit asap!
I have to let you know, the Porsche app has told me my car is built and is on its way. I’m not going to hold my breath but I am hoping for an early August delivery!!!

Sorry to not reply earlier. I don't think the extra deposit helped. I was told that when the final spec was taken (for production), I would need to raise the deposit to between 10-20%. Just followed their advice really. I think I got in quite quick with an order and was quite high in the list, no other reason...
