Silverstone Classic 2022

The Board of Directors of PCGB, with all of the other events that are being organised around the UK and the changes that Silverstone have made to pre and post 1982 car parking, have decided not to attend as a Club this year. Silverstone have also increased their price for our pitch with grandstand on the Wellington straight.
See the Club Events page on this website for the official information about Silverstone and all of the other PCGB events being organised to celebrate the Clubs 60th anniversary

Those of us that have bought tickets can still go, but as far as I know, there will not be any marquee or centre for PCGB members to congregate.
At this time I am not sure where infield we as pre 1982 models, could be parked.
More Information as and when I get it.

Robin,
Thank you for the update on Silverstone Classic. One of the motivations for attending the event is the PCGB presence, the facility of grouping Porsches together and club hospitality. As I have already purchased tickets there is no opportunity to get re reimbursed. I am not impressed that the club has made this decision late in the day. This suggests a total lack of foresight and planning by PCGB.
Regards,
Kirk

Silverstone Classic weekend 26th 27th & 28th August 2022.
I received our entry passes on Tuesday 2nd August and today 4th August received the vehicle display pass on which I have two car registration numbers.
The PCGB display area is shown as area 20 which is accessed by going in via the main entrance (No 5) straight on over the Bridge down to the roundabout and we are located off that roundabout alongside the Wellington Straight between the bridge over the track and the Village Grandstand. This is a large area where we have been placed before when it was a gravel surface. It is where in previous years the live music stage was located behind the Village grandstand.

The area is large enough for all PCGB cars, probably too large for only the pre 1982 cars but no official information as to any change in the original policy of separating the old and new.
Perhaps when members with post 1982 cars get their Display tickets, they might let us know where they are to be parked?
See you there?

Robin,
I received my display pass (post-1982 vehicle) and it also displays area 20. Maybe they'll separate us out when we arrive, but for now it would appear that we're all in the same area.
See you there!

You will by now have received the email circular from the Club with the great news that PCGB will be supporting this years event with parking for all Porsche models in our own "Club House" at Stowe corner, no matter in what year they were made.
This will be an exceptional year for PCGB at Silverstone and you should get your tickets NOW for the weekend or at least on Saturday 26th August when the plan is to have a massive track parade for every model of Porsche on Saturday evening.
See you there.
Oh, and don't forget the following weekend at Brands Hatch Festival of Porsche. You could have a weeks holiday and take in two major Porsche meetings within 10 days WOW! (sorry I got carried away.)

Well that bit of peer pressure worked... [:)] Booked - see you there!

Hi Robin,
Do you have to book the parade lap separately? Or if we rock up with our 911s they will usher us out for a drive?
