Stage 2 is the driving experience at Silverstone.  Stage 3 is scheduled for build.

Good news!  I've been at Stage 3 for nearly two months now.  I'm guessing that I've still a while to wait for Stage 4.

Ah-ha, I’ve already had stage 2 early then, back in April.

i think Porsche was running the PEC days early to keep buyers engaged during the long lead times.

m let’s see how soon I move through 2 to 3. What is stage 3 (other than more waitingπŸ«€πŸ™„)?

im debating whether to sell my 987 now to have The cash in hand or wait till I have a build slot… πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Once it is built you will probably have 3 weeks before you collect from your dealer.  There is the time to get from the factory to Emden then usually seems to be a wait there for the next ship to whichever port is used for your dealer.  Then there is the PDI, delivery to dealer . . .

I didn't want to start a new thread for this question and this seemed appropriate:

I asked the dealer for an update on my Cayman GTS order and he has said system is showing mid July. I always ask for what date the build is starting but I never get that much information. The 'MyPorsche APP' is showing as stage 3 -'scheduled for production'. I'm assuming 4 is production started and 5 car complete? I'm somewhat skeptical that the car will indeed be here in mid July given its only 4 weeks away? Thoughts/insights anyone?

Sometimes the dealer information can be incorrect/out of date.

My dealer info went from: Waiting for production straight to 'In paint' to  'On the boat to Grimsby'. Process started in mid January and I had the car by the end of February which included a week whilst the car was stuck waiting to be shipped to the Isle of Man.  If you are lucky with the shipping to Grimsby and delivery to the dealer , end of July could be possible.

Last week my GTS 4.0 got to Stage 4 (built) with 4 photos of the car at various stages of production and then complete.  It took almost exactly 2 months from Stage 3 appearing to get to Stage 4.  Stage 5 appears to be final prep for delivery - I assume the PDI which in the UK is now done at the port of arrival.  I'm now wondering how long my car will languish at Emden Port in Germany and at Sheerness in the UK!

You may be lucky. Elbe Highway has just docked in Emden and is due to leave tomorrow bound for Sheerness with an arrival of the 16th June. Fingers crossed for you its on there and if it is you could see it at the dealer by the end of this week beginning of next. Your OPC can tell you the name of the vessel if you ask nice enough as the info is on the Porsche Vehicle Tracker.

My dealer will not do that, he just states mid July with them. On the plus side he did actually confirm the price I'll be paying at least which is the price at the time of ordering and not with the two prices hikes I have seen in that time. The whole ordeal has been a bit strange and I must say I'm not overly impressed with the experience of the dealership.
