Looking to buy my first Porsche. 987’s look to be a good time to buy as possible appreciating classic. Probably 2006 3.2 as it will have to stronger IMD shaft bearing. Any advice welcome!

Hi Tom,

You’d be better if you posted this on either the Cayman or Boxster forums (you don’t indicate your preference but if it’s a 3.2L I assume that it’s the latter?).

As a starting point I’d have a look at the appropriate Buying Guide and then come back with any questions you might have:

Hi.
As been said checkout the buyers guide then if you find a potential car that suits you, my advice would be get it check over by a Porsche specialist.
Good hunting. [:D]

Tom, I've just sold/ exchanged my Cayman S 2007 MY for a 944 turbo S. The Cayman is for sale if you google modern classic car co in Stirling Its guards red / black leather and black rims. It had the IMS replaced only about 6 K ago by Crawfords in Plymouth. I couldn't justify keeping it on the basis of my low mileage its got 60 odd k miles on it
