For those club members who only watch this forum it is worth popping into the 'members only' section to see the discussion on a proposed move of the club HQ to Bicester heritage from Cornbury House before the upcoming vote on the proposal (especially as the website and PP make it sound like the decision is made).
thanks

Thank you for raising this Tony.

While information in Porsche Post and on this web site paints this as a done deal it should really say "Members are invited to consider ..."

We are told it is not cut and dried and members views will be taken into account.

This is obviously a very costly project and coincides with a proposal to increase membership fees by 25%. It is not clear if fees will remain as is, or go up by a lesser amount, if the project is shelved.

This looks like a very rosey eyed view of the costs involved. I think it will prove to be enormously expensive and the members will be expected to foot the bill.

I expect you will see an exodus of members if you decided to raise the membership fee to the level Aston or Ferrari drivers pay.

I agree. Porsche Club has members with many different backgrounds, budgets and cars. We aren't all on £100K+ salaries. It is a completely different demographic to Aston Martin or Ferrari owners ... unless the Club is looking to ditch the likes of me.
