I suppose you all have heard of the move to a new club house at Bicester as in the PP ...This according to HO this is not a given and should not have printed ...What are your views on the move on a personnel view it will never benefit anyone in our area as who is likely to visit a place 8hrs away ,know some do the annual Silverstone Classic each year and may drive down the M40 for a look.
This project is costing us over £1million +on a refit alone and will be paying money for years to come when we have a good club house costing us nothing and the fees are going up by 25% .
Please go on the zoom call tonight Friday 14th and take part ,I already joined the one on Wednesday and seems to me the board do not have the full support of the members. You only need to look on the forum to see the remarks posted thus far .Its our club so please vote as you see fit at the EGM as to what happens I know how I will vote ..we need more support for regional events in the regions .

The Club relocation is clearly a very important decision for all members of the Club based throughout the UK and Ireland. The Board of Directors are keen that everyone gets a chance to both air their views and listen to the views of others.

I am keen for everyone in R1 to understand the rationale for the decision and this information can be found here:-

Information on the Financial assessment is outlined below:-

The various Questions and Answers submitted are outlined below:-

I would urge every member to take some time to review this information and then take the time to vote on the 19th January

Your vote is important to the club irrespective of whether it is for or against the move therefore please take this opportunity to be heard and vote on the 19th January.

Thanks

Many thanks Barry - for posting this. I would also draw R1 members' attention to the (lengthy in totality) posts from other members up and down the country who are expressing their views on the proposed move. These comments may be found in the "Members Only" section of the the main Forum

Cheers,
John Dymond (R1 member)

Thank you Barry for posting up the links for members to view and digest and make their own informed view to the way ahead of our club ..but may I also add the links are all of the views of the Directors selling us this great vision ,no negative points are included pure utopia .
Now go on to the Members forum and read all the 775 views thus far what people really think of this move a totally different story emerges and included RO RS and X directors . Members can go on the Zoom on Wed 19 @ 7.30 pm and cast their vote but you require to pre register for a vote .

Hi
Thanks for the information.
I do think members should have access to all points of view, therefore I would recommend they have a look at the posts you refer to
It would lead to a more informed decision

For clarity, the vote at the EGM is to approve, or not, electronic voting. The "poll", on the move to BH will not be at that meeting, but over the 48 hours after it. The move to BH will be discussed at the EGM. That's my understanding, anyway![;)] Like you, I'm encouraging all of my R15 members to participate in both.

Bicester Club House, just out of interest, non binding poll. What do you think? | Porsche Forum from Porsche Club GB

Maybe some are more passionate about the direction the club is going in than others ...Sat through the 2 meetings and if I am honest there appeared to be no appetite for a move the opposite with only a handful in favour , ..There where no negatives from them to the move only positive's about the move .
Read all the threads going around and may give people an idea how many feel . PS I stand corrected re the poll but will be on the Zoom meet on the 19th and vote thereafter.

but the directors seemed to want to drive it through to a man .
I think the Community and Regions Director may take offence at that...[;)] (Yes, I know, it's a figure of speech....)
