Hi guys,
can someone clarify the tyres I need for my 1970 911E. I've got 6" rims so would 185/70x15 be the right ones? Any recommendations for brand and where to get them would be greatly appreciated too.
Many thanks

Correct size for 15 x 6" wheels. At the expensive end of the market CN36 or XWX. Less expensive you could try Vredstein Classic.

keep an eye on the speed ratings though on the Vredstein ..

For the much cheaper option, go for 195/65 R15 as these have the exact same radius as the 185/70. I've run this size with a 145mph + speed rating for almost 20 years now . Currently Continentals.

If I'm feeling flush I might go for some 185/70 in the future just to see how they feel, but it is a massive difference in cost. For supply, speak to Longstone tyres

I fitted my 911S with 195-65-R15 Avon ZV7 tyres on the front 6 inch wheels and think they work well in the dry and I have had no problems in the wet, as a trip to Yorkshire in May this year proved!
