Help and thoughts please on a mystery noise after switching engine off on my 718 cayman

hello
recently last 3 months I have been aware of a short droning sound after switching engine off
it disappears after 10 seconds
Here’s a link to what it sounds like
I have looked on the internet and found this info. It is the Turbocharger pressure converter / Turbo boost solenoid valve failing... a loud noise coming from the air intake compartment when you shut down the engine. Here is one of the youtube videos with the same noise as we have.
https://youtu.be/NRxJShYhknw .
Any thoughts from anyone
i have it booked in Monday 22nd November but I think garage are a little sceptical about my issue

It's probably the cooling fan by the offside rear vent? Mine does it sometimes depending on the use.

Hello Brian,
I have the same noise on engine shutdown. This seems to be a common issue. I took my Boxster 718 to Aberdeen Porsche for investigation last Thursday. It could be one of a few things that are making this noise as there are many solenoid valves used in the 718 turbo engine bay. In my car it is the solenoid valve associated with the turbo. It is called a Pressure converter. see photo attached. The part is on order and will be fitted at end of November.

Here is my video taken from inside the cabin of the car so the sound is muffled more than in your video.

PS: DOn't take no for an answer as it is a known issue. I have seen others saying that their garage says it is ok. It is NOT ok as it can damage the turbo over time.

Had outstanding service and support from Porsche Glasgow
they serviced, mot and sourced this issue out of the mystery droning sound,
new solenoid valve ordered for fitting next month
great support, delighted
