My 986 3.2S currently has Pirelli Pzero Rosso tyres fitted, and I'm looking to replace them soon but just wondering if the Pirelli's are the best way to go or are there other brands to consider ?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

John,

Michelin PS4 or PS4S seem to be the flavour of the month right now if you can get them for your wheel size.

Would agree on Michelin vs Pirelli - certainly seems to suit the car more than the pirelli's do.

I know the post says 986 Boxster tyres but I recently bought 987.1 on 18" rims 235/40-18 and 265/40-18, the tyres were old and mismatched so I bought 4 new tyres, I couldn't get Michelin PS4 in the rear size so went for Bridgestone Potenza Sports which were available in both sizes and were £530 all in fitted at Kwikfit, I don't drive anywhere near the limit but so far seem really good in wet and dry conditions.

Yep, I only cruise/tour in the 987.2 and the Brigestones are doing well for me. Seem very sure footed in heavy rain, my ket critierior for buy tyres.

Have no experience of other brands on the car, it came with Bridgestones and a set never wear out the same so keep on using Bridgestone.

I do wonder if the N rated tyre is worth it?
