Scotland West Coast after Lockdown

Thought I would share a couple pics when we managed to get over the border straight after opening in May. Perhaps a Boxster wasn't the best mode of transport bearing in mind the weather...but as usual the roads, and scenery were stunning albeit a bit damper than previous trips. Met a couple of other Porsches doing the same...so not alone. B & B's pleased to see us. Lomond, Plockton, Gairlock, Tongue, Glenlivit via Lairg and Nairn . Who would have betted on seeing another 981 in a passing place on the A836 in the middle of nowhere...

(didn't see Brian but got buzzed by another Macan Turbo while I was wondering what gear to use to overtake a slow camper...Macan Turbos are quick !)

Now back in the claustrophobic south and missing the wide open roads of the Highlands.

Planning to grab the ferry across from NI and do some driving along the Scottish West Coast in the near future. I love the roads here but there are just more of them in Scotland.

Epic shots! Cannot wait to take our boxster to the Scottish highlands. Hopefully towards the end of summer.

We set our basic route last evening sitting on the bench in the sunny garden!

Doubt Scotland will be like that when we get there.
Next step is to work out the miles between locations no feries.
A Boxster in Scotland in moody weather is not to be missed!

Thanks for the comments. Good luck with your trips. Some of the less obvious diversions off the main routes are worth a look (I checked them out on street view). It gets quieter above Skye. if you are doing a circuit, and if its on your route take the B9176 (South) just after Bonar Bridge- stunning views. I missed it the first time.
