First Service?

The car will tell you, plus you can check when it's due in the car menu.

If it was registered new in June 2020, the first service is due in June 2022 i.e. next year. It's a 2yr service interval [:D]

Hi Nick,

Welcome to the forum. You should check your servicing document but surely your first service will be at 2-years/20,000 miles, whichever comes first? You should also get a digital indication of when the service is due, which I imagine will be 2-years from first registration rather than the date of purchase. You could check with your supplying dealer for this since I’m sure it can be set during the PDI.

Hi there

Purchased my 718 Cayman T in Sep 20 from OPC, car was registered new in June 20 - will the car be due it’s first service now or in September? Any help would be much appreciated or will the car indicate when the service is coming up to due?

Cheers

Nick,

I don’t know where you got the 1-year/10,000 miles information but as we’ve both indicated, the Porsche recommended period is as we’ve stated. As I said, you should look in the documentation you received on collection to confirm that’s the case.

Of course there’s nothing wrong you with choosing to have a yearly oil change.

Jeff
