Unidentified wire above headlight on n/s

hi
I've got a dilemma there is a broken wire taped to the inside of the wing running above and beside then below the headlight. The wire is not terminated to a connector it just finishes under the headlight mount.
Has anyone got any idea what this wire is for and whether it should be connected to something?
The image is not mine as there is no wire but it shows the area I'm looking at.
