Anyone else had one of these?

So a mystery parcel from Porsche was waiting for me on my return to the office today - which turned out to be the item in the picture - referred to as a Porsche Plinth! Is this something everyone gets with a new Porsche purchase these days or is it just the Taycan? I’ve not bought a brand new Porsche since 2004, and the only thing I got free with that was an umbrella!

Cheers

Chris

Yes indeed. Some of us have a collection. [;)]
Door stops, paperweights or dust gatherers as the wife describes them! [&:]
But she used to get a lovely bouquet of flowers with a new car, so maybe it's sour grapes!
Regards,

Clive

Yes I have a couple. Waste of time and money, just gathering dust as Clive says.

I would rather have had something useful like a Porsche umbrella. But please don’t get me started on how tight and mean ‘some’ OPCs are.

For your edification Peter, the definition of an umbrella is:

A device consisting of a circular canopy of cloth on a folding metal frame supported by a central rod, used as protection against rain.

LOL - sorry for the confusion but I was referring to the chunk of metal

Got the wretched chunks of metal with a new Macan Turbo and then with a new 992, complete and utter waste of space and, by Porsche, money> What did it cost to engage someone to design, acquire the materials and produce!!! With a approved use Panamera Turbo got a Porsche USB memory stick - far more useful then. With the early Taycans and 992s ,Porsche might have provided a wifi Apple CarPlay dongle as could only hardwire the phone to the car with a usb cable.
