992 911 Turbo S Innodrive Fault - Since New

Hi again.

Sorry as this runs the risk of being an identical post to one I've already rasied.

Every time I raise the stalk on the left to enable Innodrive the same message appears.

Innodrive speed limit is now 85 mph up from its initial 20 mph but no good. The problem's been with the car from new, January this year. The OPC is nonplussed.

The Innodrive in the Taycan Turbo S I bought at the same time seems fine.

Anyone know anything maybe?

I had the same issue but raising the speed limit in settings solved it. I did have to reset the speed limit 2-3 times in order for it to stick. The only other thing I can think of is checking to see if there is a software update for the car.

On the 992s, I have found the software to be very sensitive and subject to the occasional bug which generally resolves itself.

An update from my OPC...

They say they’ve heard from ‘Germany’ where they’ve had another case where the Innodrive kept failing and putting the speed limit back to 20mph and then not working no matter what it was set to.

The OPC’s been asked to fit a new central computer. It’s in Germany & so needs to be shipped over & then they say they’ll fit it.

I’m not sure about this although they say it’s fairly easy to change. This is a brand new car, or effectively so and the problem’s been there since January when I collected it (along with the steering wheel offset 5 degrees to the right).

They’re good guys this OPC & I don’t want to cheese them off.

Anyway that’s the current situation.

Did you get this sorted? My 992 max speed limit resets itself and disables the innodrive every ten or 20 journeys, and has done over 26,000 miles and 22 months of ownership. I had the computer replaced, but it made no difference. Porsche have been promising a software fix since the beginning of the year.
