also Althorp 1996 PCGB ... Manx tour IOM 2000 The first I believe ..... Carole Nash Ireland Tour 2002

Brian. I remember those and Tony Flints excellent organisation. Althorp was fab. I think it was that trip were we all ended up in the hotel car park at 3 in the morning as the fire alarm sounded. Callander could be either brilliant or very wet. Also the autocross in the paddock at Doune was a hoot.

All great times ..at the auto cross one year in my then 84 3.2 Carrera I took Jenny Falconer around in my car it was filmed for a STV program

Tony still is a great organiser S.Spyder, I was with Tony`s Le Mob at the last Classic Le Mans. My early Porsche club activities go back to the inaugural meeting of the West of Scotland branch at the Strathblane Country club. From a dull memory I think the meeting may have been organised by staff at Glen Henderson`s at the behest of Porsche GB. As for fire alarm fun, a similar event occurred in the early hours of the Morning at either the WOTY held at Dunkeld House Hotel, or perhaps just one of the other weekends we held there... Lots of memories and some pics too..

Spot the kilted Porsche club Englishmen amongst the TRUE Scots at a Porsche wedding on the island Of Ghia

Seems that nostalgia may be dead...? (-:
In the off chance some PCGB members have memories of Pre R1 designation times, I thought to post another couple old pics.
One from another get together from many areas of the UK at Loch Melfort Hotel. and the other a roadside halt on the island of Arran where we stopped to admire the "Sleeping Warrior" in the shape formed by the hills in the backdrop.

I still have my Althorp one up in the garage it was a cracking sunny weekend, also remember the Porsche team getting dragged in to the welly throwing competition by Allan at the Doune classics, and the hillclimbs at Dunkeld House hotel as part of the WOTY were Fab all brilliant memories including Griff ripping the mirror off his 944 turbo and Jack Laidlaw storming up in his 2.7RS.:ROFLMAO:
