2021 WOTY Friday 8th, Saturday 9th October now been and gone
& MOTY Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th October now full

This year we are returning to an October WOTY, but keeping the two day format which proved so successful and popular in the last two years.
We will head for the Scottish Borders to stay in the lovely Friars Carse Country House Hotel, which is situated just north of Dumfries surrounded by great countryside. This will be an opportunity to sample the spectacular and quiet upland roads as used by evo magazine and others for their road tests, including the latest evo Car Of The Year, which you may have seen on ITV4 as well as in the magazine.
The Dumfries coast is nearby too, so there is no shortage of roads on which to enjoy your Porsche.
We are staying the nights of Friday 8th and Saturday 9th, with dinner on both nights. You might even want to stay a third night and extend your trip.
The hotel is about three hours away from Leeds, so for many it should be possible to get there after work on the Friday; for those who can take Friday off it will be possible to make a day of it using some of the fabulous North Pennine moorland roads and we will have some suggested routes to get there.
We will of course plan some suggested routes to enjoy on the Saturday.

We expect demand to be higher than there are places available, so this year we are also running the event as a midweek option, which some people might prefer, which we have called the Midweek Of The Year.
The MOTY will be on Tuesday 19th / Wednesday 20th October, and will follow the same format as the WOTY. Feel free to extend your stay if you wish.

Booking
Please book your accommodation direct with the hotel by telephone on 01387 740388 but make sure you tell them that you are with the Porsche Club, and very importantly whether you are staying 8th/9th or 19th/20th.
The hotel has requested that you make your booking by phone rather than online. As the hotel is currently closed due to Covid please ring between 9am - 5pm.
The basic price is £290 for two people, two nights in a standard double room for Dinner Bed and Breakfast. A single room is £150. There are three family rooms available too.
There are small supplements for some of the upgraded rooms.
Some rooms are closer to the lifts than others. If you have mobility issues then please discuss this with the hotel when booking.

VERY IMPORTANT - Once you have booked please email us at r7@porscheclubgb.com This is vital because otherwise we won’t know who is going, and won’t be able to contact you with further details.
We need you to tell us:
Names of everyone in your party
Your PCGB membership number (the event is members only)
Model, registration number and colour of your car
Mobile telephone number

All this is required for risk assessment purposes, which we are obliged to carry out.

Hi

Delia and have booked for the MOTY. We have booked the extra night and are travelling up on the Monday.

Chris.

Looks as if we've missed the boat with both these events as there are only one or two single rooms left for either date.

The hotel has put us on a reserve list so if any member decides that they no longer want or are unable to attend either the WOTY or MOTY please let me know either via the forum or by using the email in my forum profile.

Thanks

Ian and Sharon
