Me Again,
I know there is a Porsche Tyre Inflator Kit available (at considerable cost for an airline) Wondering if anyone knows the size of the fitting inder the Drivers Seat. I have an airline hose and regulator, just need a fitting to screw on to the connector

Any Clues or advise appreciated

Colin

Hi Colin,
When I owned the original Cayenne (955) I purchased a replacement airline for the drivers seat connection and found the part number online at the time. It’s a VW/Audi shared part and I can try and find it for you. Does yours have the air suspension option then? Mine was a turbo so those all have air suspension as standard.

Hiya Guys,

Thanks for the reply. Yes It has had the Air Ride Suspension option fitted, the plan is to change the wheels (Currently on 22s) and because of the size and the tyres being low profile, it suffers with tyre pressures every time you hit a bump in the road. The wheels look like they're due a refurb anyway, so once I can get smaller set will get them done. In the meantime it would be good to have the use of the compressor, instead of looking for a garage all the while.

Thanks Again

Think this great idea was only on the 955/957
Why they stopped it I don't know, mad?

There are a few different part numbers and revisions so one to be watch out for in case you miss a deal on eBay.
I found the purchase record for mine eventually, and the part number I bought was : 7L0601351B. Note same number with revision C on the end instead of B is also popular.
This same number currently brings up a few results on eBay such as this one which ends in 6 days:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-Cayenne-Turbo-S-2005-9PA-955-Tire-Filling-Air-Hose-Gauge-7L0601351B-/383906696258?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

I think I paid €60 with postage as mine had to come from Germany and I decided £50 was more than enough for one!
I think they seem to work off a magnetic engagement to know it’s connected as it senses when the plastic thread is inserted and screwed in under the drivers seat - then on the dashboard gives advice that air filling is active.
I don’t think it’s worth paying the £108 like some I see on eBay right now but each to their own.
It sure is a nice idea but I heard the reason the later Cayenne (958) and Touareg/Q7 is something to do with designing a sealed loop system and using less volume of air in the later suspension. No idea if that is true.
Good luck with the Cayenne!

Thanks for the link, I'll keep an eye on that, I'll do a bit of searching on the various part numbers as well.

Getting there bit by bit with it. For a 2004 that's only done 90k miles I want to persevere with it, already done front wheel bearings, disks n pads, fixed the dreaded airbag light so fingers crossed it's gonna give me a fair few more miles.
Thanks for all the advice guys
C
