Factory Build Sheet

Apologies in advance if this has been covered before. How can I find a factory build sheet for my 981 please? I searched on here and found the link to the VIN Analytics site but no joy - it's not recognising my car. Would like to know which options it left the facotry with and which, if any, have been retrofitted. Thanks in anticipation.

Graeme

Have a look at Stuttcars web site. You pay a few pounds, upload your VIN and it gives you a complete breakdown of the actual build sheet for your car. SWS

Hi, this may or may not help you but on my last two Porsche cars I have been able to request this over the counter at the parts desk at my local porsche centre. My porsche specialist was also able to get a build sheet for my cayenne

I also got a full list printed out by my OPC service operation. Lots of pages with lots of detail. But it's just the spec as it left the factory - they don't update it for anything subsequently added or removed even by an OPC such as the change of steering wheel they did for me when I bought the car from them.

The guarantee booklet gives VIN and basic spec, but not options I think. Thanks for your suggestions.

T911UK: In a classic case of crossed wires, I paid my £5 to BoXa.net, then saw your post and realised you're the person behind the BoXa.net VIN Lookup. No worries. I'm more than happy to chip in my fiver!

Thanks Brian. I don't have a relationship with an OPC yet, but that's good to know. It's the original build sheet I'm after so I can compare with the spec as it is now. Just interested to know if things like PSE and paddle shift steering wheel were factory or retro-fitted.

Lockdown + rubbish weather = online nerdiness!

Ah! Mine’s a 987.2 not a 981. That’s progress for you! 😉

Pleased to hear that you’re sorted.

Ok, this forum has formatted it a bit weirdly! Look at the Boxa.net reply, much better and easy to see and print out!

Got it. Thank you. Just what I was after. Very interesting.

PCCB is a surprise. Standard brakes now. Probably no bad thing! It's gained PSE along the way too (Unless it's one of the codes I haven't deciphered yet). Fine by me, whoever made those decisions.

I was just trawling the net looking for something like this -- I see in old posts it was something PCGB could provide but the link is dead

Would quite like a sheet to put on the wall in a frame -- what is the best way to get it?

If you call Porsche Customer Services they can help with the original spec. You'll need to provide a photocopy of page 1 & 2 of the V5.

Martin,

It used to be available from the dealers (but FOC if you were Club member) but was discontinued a while ago. I seem to recall that it was a bit hit-and-miss sometimes as to whether or not the listing was correct.
