Hi,

I've been away from this forum for a long while.

Rather vulgar maybe but I'm shortly due to collect the above 2 from Porsche Swindon. I ordered them about 9 months ago.

Why post this? - Because i'm really excited & no one else understands[:)]

They've both arrived, almost at the same time which'll make collection interesting but both are off to Autotrilogy in Bristol on 5th Jan to have full PPF treatment by Damien there. Autotrilogy have done fantastic work on my others.

Really can't wait and if anyone's interested i'll post photos when they're back, around mid January.

Best regards,

Simon

And I was happy with a pair of socks for Christmas..:ROFLMAO:
Congratulations and I understand your excitement. Look forward to hearing your comparisons. Are they the same colour?

That really is exciting news! Congratulations. Excellent start to the New Year. [;)] Purchasing £350k's worth of motorcars, would suggest your PC might be prepared to deliver them to you once they've been PPF'd if you ask them. [:)]

Regards,

Clive

Woo hoo! those are the top two picks on my wish list - love to see some photos when you collect them!

p.s. Swindon are a very good OPC and handle my cars - I'm sure they'll look after you very well.

One better than me 992 Turbo S, Taycan 4S is the daily And it’s a great car for a daily. for me it’s no substitute for a 911

You'll be in the enviable position of being able to give proper, first hand, owner's perspective of the two competing/complementary vehicles. Looks like you are the person to do a write up for Porsche Post rather than the press releases normally printed in it.

Fantastic cars and we'll expect pictures when the ppf is done. [:D][:)]

Were you able to get into the dealership before it closed (again)? I was in there on the 30th and they were due to close on the 31st. Hopefully you got more than click and collect!!

Wow !! Thats fantastic news indeed.

If you can let me have some pics of the 992 and a short write up I can put it in teh Porsche Post column.

Lucky man. :ROFLMAO:

Sounds amazing
is it jus me or is anybody else intrigued by what "other” cars you mentioned are????

Hi, Thanks.

Update. Autotrilogy of Bristol 'trailered' the Taycan Turbo S to my place of work on Friday near Bath. It's Neptune Blue so rather odd looking or unique depending upon the point of view, Carbon everywhere. Photo attached sent to me by Damien Fricker at Autotrilogy.

I've driven it home and that's all. It was an essential journey, 9 miles and must say it does seem rather rapid. Andersen EV charge point at home now being finally used.

Gentian Blue 911 is supposed to be ariving this or next week, on trailer again.

Sheer and utter indulgence for sure.

911 photos to follow, if that's ok folks.

Thanks,

Simon

Sorry, just realised that as this is Taycan content it's been posted in the wrong area. Sorry about that.

Hi again,

992 Turbo S now arrived.

Initial impression after a week is that the Taycan Turbo S has more instant thump whilst rolling. No surprises then. Can't tell how quick the 911 is going to be because I want to take it easy with the engine. 911 looks better imho.

Thanks,

Simon

That's some duo - fascinating contrast between the two. Look forward to your thoughts as time goes by and you get the opportunity to drive them properly.

Whenever that will be...

A wonderful sight for sore eyes - cheered my day up no end. [:)]

Congratulations a fine duo, but don't be too precious with the Turbo S - it'll be fine! [;)]

Regards,

Clive

Hi,

Thanks everyone.

Ok, i'll baby the 911 a little less. Bit worried though cos' it had to go back to Swindon Porsche to have the seering wheel put on straight and for the Innodrive fixed. I thought the steering felt a bit funny but they carried out a 4wd alignment and all was ok, just the steering wheel had been bunged on 5 degrees to the right at the factory. I didn't find out why the Innodrive wasn't working though.

All seems fine now though.

Cheers,

Simon

Big congrats Simon. Both absolute beautys.

We've been toying with the idea of p/x'ing my wifes Cayenne S for a Taycan. She only does relatively short journeys so a one a week charge would probably suffice.

I'll have to wait until she gets back from Florida, she's in no rush to get back I can tell you.
25-25c there and freezing cold here. I'd stay too if I didn't have work to do lol

Out of interest, when did you order the 911 Turbo S?
