Dear all,

In an effort to be more inclusive, we want to make a permanent post here to make members aware of the community group that exists for Region 2, using Facebook.
This group is a community for users to share informal posts and photos of what they have been up to, ask questions, and keep in touch with other members.

Our group is open to all PCGB members who have an interest in R2 Scotland North, regardless of your home region. It's not compulsory for Region 2 members to join this group, and we always share information about any upcoming Region 2 events or business via the club email system, website, and Porsche Post. Nobody is disadvantaged by not being part of the R2 Facebook group.

With that said, if it is something you are interested in doing, you can find the R2 Facebook group here :- https://www.facebook.com/groups/1428451394121135

The security settings for the group are set so that only people who are in the group, can see who else is in the group. This is to protect members privacy and security, so they aren't easily labelled as Porsche owners.

For this reason, when you click to join the group, it will ask you two questions;
1. Membership number - so we can ensure everyone in the group is a PCGB member.
2. Home Region - Just so we can see who's interested in R2, as mentioned above members from all regions are welcome.

You will need a Facebook account to join - if you don't already have one, they are easy to set up. Be careful when considering what personal details you want to add, such as workplace, where you live, etc.. It's often better to keep this to a minimum. It's best to take the policy of not sharing anything about yourself that you wouldn't want to be in the public domain, regardless of privacy settings.
As mentioned, anything you post in the R2 group is only visible to other members and not the general public.

Be aware, that just like anything else on the internet, what you post is instantly recorded and retrievable. Saying that, we will delete any content that shows illegal or reckless activity - e.g. speeding. Be aware that although our group is private, the police and any other authorities have the right to request access to it. Don't share anything you wouldn't want to be attributed to you, even though it's kept within the group.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch at: r2@porscheclubgb.com

All the best,
George & Caitlin

If an admin or moderator happens to come across this thread - could you assist me with setting this as a "sticky" so that it stays at the top of the threads list?

Ta!
