Reverse Camera in Number Plate Light

I have a 2006 Cayman S with OE CDR24 and Porsche Sound Package (amp in front compartment, not Bose).
I am fitting a new Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB head unit which provides the opportunity to fit a reverse camera.
Has anyone fitted a reverse camera by replacing one of the number plate lights?
It seems to be something of a lottery whether those listed on ebay will be suitable as the sellers don't seem to be accurate or consistent with their descriptions and range of fitment suitability.
The part to be replaced is 997 631 620 02 (supersedes 01).
Anyone have any experience of this that can recommend a suitable camera which can be installed without having to make any new holes in the bumper.
Thanks.

I think you would be vulnerable to MOT inspectors if you change out the number plate lamp I fitted a camera to my Lotus by mounting it on the underside of the number plate recess. Yes, a couple of extra small holes, but they could only be seen from the underside and of course they are covered up by the bracket. It worked out a neat solution as it was possible to get the camera tight against the lip.

I have also seen cameras fitted using number plate double sided sticky pads, with the wires going behind the number plate, where there seemed to be a lot of holes already there.
