New owner, Corroded and leaking water pipes

Hi all,

First Porsche and first post on this forum, I am now the owner of a low mileage 997.1 c2s. She is in great condition but a few things are now going on a list for rectification/upgrade. I am lucky enough to have my own man cave / workshop with a ramp so working on the 11 is a breeze. I have dropped all the under panels and found the cooling system which as you would guess needs attention.
One item does concern me is the picture below, this is the front part (left side) of the aluminium pipe which goes into the engine bay. Not sure what to make of it as I would almost say it’s leaking through the aluminium!! Ordinarily okay I’ll just change it but even with a ramp it’s going to be a nightmare. Anybody have any thoughts whether its from the joint and I could getaway with just the rubber pipe. At the front and was planning to change all of them, as maybe 50% look similar to the picture below.

If any members are located in the Essex I’m more than happy for you to drop in to say hello and put your machine on the ramp for a prod ??.

Cheers,
David

Did you manage to sort your coolant leak ?
I couldn't see your picture, but am guessing its the aluminium pipes that go up between the bulkhead and engine, where they connect to a quick connect rubber hose?
I recently replaced the front coolant pipes which were badly corroded ( see pics on instagram #Coolcarporsche ), having just yesterday removed all my under trays, it looks like the rear connections are just starting to show signs of going the same way.
I can't bring myself to do another coolant drain and refill just now, so will put it on the list for next winter.

I think i've read that it's an engine drop to replace the rear aluminium pipes unless anyone can confirm otherwise ?
I'm hoping I can salvage mine and only replace the quick connect rubber hoses after cleaning out the aluminium sockets - fingers crossed.
